We supply wooden as well as plastic pallets and provide complete palletization service. The various stages involved in palletization are as follows:
The specification of a pallet is decided based on the unit load weight requirement. It also depends on the materials that the load shall handle including forklift handling, slinging and hooking, multiple stacks at warehouse, inside the containers and board vessels. Considering all the above factors and requirements as per the client, we design the pallet with the desired specification.
Our Wooden Pallets are as per ISPM 15 Standard, which require the pallets to be Heat treated or Fumigated (with Methyl Bromide) This helps to eradicate all the insects and germs from the wooden Pallets, making it safe to carry any type of cargo on it. The various types of Pallets we supply - Two way wooden pallets, Four way wooden Pallets, Single deck Wooden Pallet, Double deck Wooden Pallet, Heavy Duty Wooden Pallet, wooden packing pallet, Euro Pallets & ISPM Treated Wooden Pallets, Plastic Pallet.
Shrink and Strech Wrapping
Also known as shrink film, it is a material made up of polymer plastic film. When heat is applied it shrinks tightly over whatever it is covering. Heat is be applied with a hand held heat gun (electric or gas) Shrink-wrapping is a packaging technique to secure number of cargo placed on a single pallet. It entails using a roll of thin, stretchable plastic film to apply on many layers of cargo holding them tightly to each other and to the pallet.
Basically the entire pallet needs to be felt like a unit; With that in mind, the wrapping is started from the base so that the bottom boxes are first to be entangled with the pallet. The wrapping is continued with the next layer being firmly joined to the first one. The base of the pallet is also wrapped in the same direction that was begun when we made the fold. The base is wrapped 4 5 times so that the plastic will not slip off. This is the most important step since the goal is to keep your goods on the pallet.
After reaching the top of the pallet, the wrapping is continued back from top to the bottom .Once the stack is firm, the film roll is torn apart and the end of the roll is folded under the edge of the wraps at the side of the Pallet. Thus, your layer of cargo is intact to each other and the pallet, preventing no movement while shipping.
P. P Strapping
Strapping, also known as bundling and banding, is the process of applying a strap to an item to combine, hold, reinforce, or fasten it. The Strap is applied to the outer area of the cargo which is already shrink wrapped and is tightened with a turnbuckle. The strapping helps in holding the entire chunk of cargo placed on a single pallet. Different types of straps are available based on the type of cargo - Steel, Polythene, Nylon, Paper, Composite.
Alternative or additional methods for Cushioning & Protection of Cargo
As per clients requirement or for extra safety of the cargo, we can also customize our packaging methods by using various other packing materials such as Corrugated paper, Bubble Wrap, Shrink Wrap, polyethylene or polyurethane foam and loose fill, slip sheets, Kraft Papers, edgeboards & angleboards, vacuum packing materials, dunnage air bags, vapor bags, etc.
